I have always been intrigued by these words of the Gospel of John, what we heard during the Sunday Mass (Jn 8:1-11, a fantastic page, to read and reread many times!).

Who knows what Jesus has written? asks me for a little boy talking about this song the other day in oratory. would be nice to know what you wrote ... Yeah, it would be nice, but maybe that's not the point. Otherwise, I suppose, the evangelist would have written (if it was so important he could not omit it). And if the important thing was, instead, the very act to bend down and get to write on the ground? But here the situation is quite different: Jesus is in front of a woman who has clearly betrayed her husband and broke the law and that it deserves to be punished. Faced with this desperate woman and on the run, already destroyed by a life that led her to try to bridge a certain emptiness in his heart with another man who was not her husband, admitting it to herself first and foremost the failure of a promise made some time ago, before men who questioned him trying to get a double result from this situation , to "do justice" by both sides to "trap" that man so uncomfortable talking about this love without wanting to betray the law given by Moses to his people before the Father, that the 'sent to earth to announce a new world, where there is more hatred to rule in the human, Jesus decided to bow down and write on the ground.

But how? In a situation Such is not eligible for such an attitude! We're not talking mica on the beach, here we are talking about life and death, the law, respect, religion, God! You can not get to write on the ground mica and expect to get away with it!

And they realized that the only law that can allow each person to live in justice and the law of love, a love that passes through the forgiveness of injuries and betrayals.
